Chainsaw weapons allow users to supposedly hold down the melee button to keep rotating its blade, causing damage to any enemy that comes into contact with.
As for non-melee weapons like Rude Bully, Heavy Drill Rifle, etc they will continuously deal damage to enemies that come close to the equipped weapon.
